Yippee!!! We won the World Cup!
After our great World Cup project at kindy we were all thrilled about the outcome. The children have been so busy with all sorts of rugby activities. We had a great themed dress up day and have become very good at the National Anthem in English & Maori, the haka and general rugby knowledge. We have written letters of support to the All Blacks and gone on a walk to the Takapuna Post Office to send them off – great fun! One of our parents sent a photo of this walk and haka to Ali Williams, who replied it was brilliant to have the support. As part of our letter writing activities, we have now evolved our project into a literacy programme and will extend this curriculum area now.
